About Langford Park Care Home

We ensure that all residents at Langford Park experience individual, person-centered care in our happy and welcoming home.

Our wonderful caring team will always take the time to really get to know each resident, developing strong friendships and relationships.  We strive to ensure Langford Park is a friendly and happy place to work and as a result we have high staff retention – one team member has been with us for 25 years.

We ensure the dignity of each individual by giving them a voice and empowering them to make decisions about their own care.  As well as providing excellent care, we do all we can to provide our residents with stimulating and fulfilling lives.

Residents can enjoy our stunning, serene location where there are sheep and ponies grazing in the surrounding fields.  We also have plenty of outside areas to explore, including a summer house where residents can enjoy the views and socialise throughout the warmer months.

We are proud of our home and delighted that Langford Park has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) across all five of its assessment criteria; safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.

Activities

We believe it is important for residents to remain active in mind and body and we have developed a varied timetable of activities which change on a weekly basis. From yoga and movement-to-music, to minibus outings and wildlife walks we ensure that there is something that appeals to all.  The ponies that visit us regularly seem to be popular with everyone however!  Activities are encouraged according to individual needs and aspirations and if a resident has a particular interest, we will support them to pursue it.

Team

Our dedicated and professional team is our best asset.  Staff are on duty 24 hours a day to help in every possible way. Their positivity and optimism creates a warm and friendly atmosphere that visitors say feels like a family.  All our carers take time to really get to know the residents as individuals and inevitably strong and lasting friendships form.

We work closely with our residents to create an individual care plan, which is agreed with a key carer or named nurse and is regularly reviewed with the resident and their family.
